Testimonials
"I have known Meredith as a colleague and a friend for many years. She is a talented attorney and devoted mother whose advocacy is deeply personal and profoundly sincere. As a parent to children with food allergies, Meredith doesn’t just understand the systems families must navigate—she’s lived them. Her work is guided by compassion, conviction, and an unwavering sense of responsibility to make things better. She walks the walk in every sense, and those lucky enough to work alongside her know how deeply she cares and how much she delivers."

"I met Meredith at Newburyport Montessori School approximately ten years ago when her older son enrolled in our preschool program. Our school was a nut-free school, and we were somewhat aware of the seriousness of threatening allergies. Every beginning of the year, we would hold parent’s night and explain more about the curriculum, answer any questions they may have, and inform them of possible food restrictions we would have in the classroom. Meredith offered to speak as a mom of a child with multiple life-threatening allergies. She spoke so eloquently and from the heart about her horrific experience when her son experienced anaphylactic shock for the first time. And that is when all the things went to a completely different level.
Parents who were skeptical of the allergies, those who were uninformed, even those who knew but didn’t know the seriousness of it, all came in support of her and what we were planning on doing that year and in the future. She gave us a list of the food that is safe to bring in, which made it much easier for parents to choose a snack for their child that is safe for all. She gave us multiple allergy-safe recipes we could use for special events. Many parents gave us feedback after that night that it was, for the first time, clear to them how serious allergies can be. We had her and her partner Laurel present for all the staff at school, and it made all the difference in managing a food-safe classroom. After her presentation, parents were able to talk to their children at home, and we all, as a community, approached allergies from a different perspective. It was so valuable to all of us and gave the parents of children with allergies peace of mind.
A few years later, Meredith enrolled her younger son in our school. He had multiple life-threatening allergies as well. But having her already educate us about it, we had a much easier time implementing all the food restrictions needed to keep everyone safe.
Later on, I moved to another Montessori School. I felt that having Meredith speak there was critical since they had kids with life-threatening allergies but didn’t have any food restrictions. It felt like many didn’t have an awareness that the allergies were real. It was amazing what happened after her presentation. She again spoke about her experiences, gave not only handouts to everyone but books that people could take home, read, and pass on to other parents. She offered her help in creating the safe food list and answered all the questions. The school became a nut-free environment and has been since. I feel that having her experience and knowledge was enormously helpful to us teachers to make sure we keep all the children safe. And every time we had to make food for the different school events, having the book of safe recipes was a great gift."

"I first met Meredith when our sons were in kindergarten, when she was well into the process of navigating the world of food allergies. Meredith was always open and communicative about her efforts to keep her son safe, and reached out in advance of birthday parties and class events to discuss food options and precautions.I was drawn to her friendly nature, and admired how upbeat and positive she remained while discussing high stakes decisions.
About a year later, my younger son suffered an anaphylactic reaction due to a previously unidentified tree nut allergy. Meredith was the first person I thought to reach out to you, and she coached me from afar as I sat next to my son's bed in the ER. Doctors and nurses were providing great care, but were also busy and moving fast, and Meredith explained to me the reason behind the treatments, and even suggested questions I could ask the providers during our hospital visit. Her calm and direct approach was invaluable in a terrifying moment!
Since my son's diagnosis 5 years ago, I have relied on Meredith for guidance and modeling. She has given me much more helpful information and practical tips than doctors have, and was a reassuring and empowering resource when I recently had to administer an EpiPen to my son for the first time. Meredith is a fantastic resource for allergy families, and has my highest recommendation!"
